Shinichi Tohei taught a seminar for Kanagawa Branch dojo members today from 2 pm to 6:30 pm. We practiced the basic ki principle "mind moves body" through a number of different exercises.
One important point was that in order to read the movement of our partner's ki, we need to calm our own mind to one point. This can best be practiced by ki meditation and ki breathing.
Another important point was keeping one point: keeping our consciousness at one point. We need to be able to recognize when our consciousness "goes up" - in anger, anxiety, or for whatever reason - and calm back down to one point.
